Four steps, in order.
A patient record is created with a linked customer for billing. An appointment is booked into a real slot from the practitioner's schedule and the unit's capacity.
The encounter records coded complaints, diagnoses, vitals, and notes, and raises the orders that follow — prescriptions, lab tests, procedures, therapy.
Samples are collected and tests resulted against normal ranges with approval before release. Procedures consume stock. Inpatients occupy beds with transfers recorded.
Charges are derived from the activity rather than transcribed, deposits allocated, and the discharge summary produced from the stay's own records.
